NEW PRODUCTS!

Hello All!

Here I am again writing to let you know what's happening at Vlana Vlee. Well to start things off... we have been SUPER busy getting ready for the Fargo opening. Oct 16th will be opening day (correction from previous blog stating Oct 1st was opening). There is a big event going on in downtown Fargo called "10 to 10". It is going to be a blast! There will be music, food, drinks, and discounts that day. Normally the downtown shops close a bit earlier than 10pm, but not that day! You will have 12 hours to eat, drink, and spend your hard earned cash!

On other news, we have UNBELIEVABLE fall/winter fashions coming in! Our two stores will NOT have the same styles. The joy of having two stores is having even more of a variety, therefore Bismarck will have some pieces that Fargo does not, and vice versa. That being said, we have a lot of new lines coming in. Make sure to watch out for a lot of HOT new designers and new denim as well!

THAT'S RIGHT!!! VLANA VLEE IS OPENING IN DOWNTOWN FARGO!

The decision has been made, there have been rumors flying the last few months about where and when we would be opening, well now I have answers to some lingering questions.

Vlana Vlee has decided to take the space directly across from Hotel Donaldson/HODO Bar. Our goal is to open October 1st. We have a tremendous amount to do before the opening of the store, however we are truly looking forward to being a part of Downtown Fargo's growth and development. We have already gotten a warm welcome from a few amazing stores downtown and are excited to grow our relationship with them as well!

We will be introducing some AMAZING new lines in Home and Fashion!

We will be introducing a new sharp INDUSTRIAL CHIC look!

We will be introducing a new revitalized Vlana Vlee!!

We hope that everyone will welcome us with open arms and we will do our best to not let you down!

INTRODUCING...DIESEL!!!

INTRODUCING THE HOTTEST LINE TO HIT THE MIDWEST!!..........DIESEL!

OK so here is the deal.. Vlana Vlee is the FIRST retailer in the Dakotas to sell this unbelievable clothing line.. I know you have all heard of Diesel at one time or another. The line has been around for AGES!!!

We started carrying Diesel jeans for men at our south store last Christmas. Well, we are no longer carrying men's apparel, however we thought..why get rid of the line altogether?? So Ariane and I traveled to the Big Apple in search of some sweet duds to introduce the line into the store.. but this time, introduce it as a WOMENS line!

Seriously guys, Diesel is quite a unique line when you hear the history behind the name.
Diesel was created in a little town in the mountains of Italy. The line has been around for over 20 years. The sole owner of the line is Renzo Rosso. It isn't too often now days that you find a line as successful as Diesel with a sole owner.

The denim line is HUGE in Italy and is gaining a lot of popularity in the states. Diesel creates every pair of jeans with precision and craftsmanship. Every single pair of Diesel jeans, womens or mens, is custom made. This means that when you come in to Vlana and pick out a pair of Diesel jeans, you have the satisfaction of knowing that not ONE other person will have that exact same pair. Each pocket stitch in the Diesel signature style is hand-stitched. Each wash and distressed mark is personally customized to the specific jean. The process that goes into creating just one pair of jeans is amazing. It is reassuring to think of all the hard work and effort put into each pair when you are paying a designer price for them. It makes that purchase just a bit easier to swallow when thinking that your wearing a custom pair of denim.

Now I wouldn't go into this much detail if I didn't think that it was important for you all to know. Stop in sometime and let me show you the craftsmanship that goes into each pair of denim. Once you go Diesel, you will be a Diesel customer for life.

Diesel also has introduced a new line for this season called Diesel Black & Gold. This line is great also! FABULOUS fabrics and textures in this line. Vlana carries a few pieces from the line. There are silk/rayon blends that are so soft you will want to sleep in them!

I Hope that everyone had a WONDERFUL Memorial Day weekend! Mother Nature never fails to get our hopes all up for a beautiful Memorial Day weekend and then stomps on us with nasty weather and rain every year! Only people truly from ND can understand how treasured "river" days are and a short month and a half of summer...

OK, so here is the deal... I am SO EXCITED for our fashion show coming up, I can barely handle it! To anyone who attended the "OLD HOLLYWOOD" fashion show, you will thoroughly enjoy this event!

The Start of Something New

Let me start off by telling you who I am..

My name is Brittany, everyone calls me Britt. I am 22 ½ years old and a fashion buyer and slave to Vlana Vlee. My mom Julie is the amazing woman that opened up Vlana Vlee. Mom really wanted this to be “our” store, a family business. Thus, I moved away from the great AZ warmth to come to the frozen tundra of ND. Its ok though, as long as I wear my parka to work 9 months out of the year I am fine…we North Dakotans HAVE to live for our amazing summers…

I have FOREVER wanted to be a fashion designer, I think since I have been about 10 years old I either wanted to be a doctor, be famous, or be a fashion designer. I was always the girl in high school with the “weird” shoes and turquoise tights. Not to toot my own horn but I was voted best fashion sense in the high school yearbook.. (oh yeah). I have always had a niche for fashion. Mom uses her creativity to make homes “havens”, and I use my inherited creativity to make you look DANG good in that haven!

We will be having an ongoing blog now on our website. I will be updating this blog often. Considering I am a fashion buyer these blogs will mainly be fashion based. I will be touching on many different areas of fashion. for example. I may do a blog on premium denim knowledge, new product in the store, Girl Parties, upcoming events, knowing your shape, and many other areas.

I am open to any suggestions for things to talk about... although I don’t really have any trouble talking a lot..
